Hull Construction

biaxial fiberglass and isophthalic/vinylester resins and NidaCore
(polypropelene honeycomb core), vacuum bagged for light weight properties,
stiffness and strength

Custom design ideas we included
- Ground tackle, 35# Delta with
100' 5/16 chain and 100 ft of 5/8 rode.
- Epoxy barrier bottom paint,
black. Check to make sure this paint is OK for use on a lift and out
of the water much of the time.
- NEMA wiring from helm station
to computer area two runs of four conductors each
- Separate instrument panel on
front of helm electronics housing with hinge on top and thumbscrews at
bottom to
open. Sufficient service loop in all cables to permit full opening for
easy access. Panel to be made of 3/8" poly sheet or equal. Housing face
is to be cut out to leave mostly open front that is closed by the panel.
- Grounding system built into
hull for SSB radio transmitter. Antenna coupler will be located beneath helm
area, adjacent to 23' whip antenna mounting outside, so grounding will need to be
routed to this area. Ground strips running fore to aft in each hull,
strapped in an "H" configuration and connected into the antenna
coupler area with copper strap. Additional ground run to transceiver area.
